We think of August as the month of transitions: we gear up for school again, the evenings are beginning to feel cooler, and we’re starting to think about the end of summer. Transitions are also happening at Stanley Marketplace - a new Netflix show featuring one of our own, plus two new businesses!

Yet another food-focused competition is hitting the small screen, but this time, it’s personal. Netflix's Bake Squad recruited local chef Gonzo Jimenez from Stanley’s very own Miette et Chocolat to compete, one of just four talented bakers and pastry chefs from across the nation and hand-picked by the production team. Bake Squad premiered earlier this month, and there are eight episodes for the season. Tune in to Netflix to watch Gonzo push his creativity and show off his pastry chops creating jaw-dropping, over-the-top desserts. You can watch the trailer here.

Vibe Wellness is the new wellness umbrella covering the mind-body-spirit connection. Vibe opened doors at Stanley Marketplace this month, and they offer services from acupuncture to yoga, IV hydration to massage, community workshops, and more to support a well-rounded mind and body. The space is made up of private service rooms, a spa-like lounge, cushiony IV Hydration chairs, and two yoga studios where the team is offering a free yoga class for all abilities on Sundays at 12 p.m.
