Disney on Ice Treasure Trove plays now through Sunday

Disney on Ice presents "Treasure Trove," its latest offering featuring all of the "treasures" from Disney animation. The show plays at the Denver Coliseum March 31-April 3 and runs about an hour and a half.

Disney fans of all ages will delight in seeing their favorite stories come to life! Narrated by Mickey,
Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, the audience follows along with Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, the Lion King, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin, the Little Mermaid (and her cool black-light-glowing undersea companions), Tangled, the Princess and the Frog, and then a finale with all of the Disney princesses and princes (those who are paired up, anyway - Elsa, Anna, and Merida are noticeably absent).

My kids both loved it and want to go again. Some of their reactions:

Daughter, age 8.5:

  • "I liked the giant crocodile!"
  • "If I was one of those actors, I would want to be Tinkerbell so I could fly up on a string."
  • "Mommy, they must be professional ice skaters!"

Son, age 3.5:

  • "I've never seen animals ice skating!?!"
  • "Mommy, I love Mickey because he's so silly..."

They had never been to an ice show before, and were captivated the entire time. Enjoy the magic!

One note: it's a Disney enterprise, so be prepared for trinkets, tee-shirts, photo opportunities, and overpriced snacks ($12 for popcorn?!) at every turn. (Eat before you go...)
