Neighborhood FAC Tonight at Salati
Salati Italian Street Food, located in the Shops at Northfield, wants to get to know the neighbors! So tonight (and every Friday), from 4-6pm, they are serving FREE Italian Street Food along with offering their usual Happy Hour Drink Specials on beer, wine and cocktails.
This is your chance to meet the owner of Salati and the chef, learn more about what Italian Street Food is and hang with your friends. The owner, TC Clark, came up with the idea of opening Salati when he and his wife were honeymooning in Italy. Everywhere they went, there were carts and kiosks selling street food (like our Food Trucks). Everything from meatballs to pasta were served in cones with a fork so people could walk and eat. The couple's favorite item was a Piadina sandwich made with a bread dough baked on a hot stone that is then filled with meats, veggies, cheeses and sauces and rolled. Perfect for strolling.
TC and his wife brought the idea of the Piadina and other Street Foods back to Colorado, knowing that this food truck-loving, street taco-loving city would love the concept.
So go tonight and learn more about the interesting, multi-cultural stories behind the various street foods Salati sells, for free, while spending time with your neighbors.
Tonight! 4-6pm at Salati Italian Street Food, directly across from Cold Stone Creamery and catercorner from Harkins Theatre. 8270 Northfield Blvd. #1485.
