1. Swim lessons at the F-15 Pool. Every year, we sign up for swim lessons in June at F-15. The classes are small, the instructors are fun, and my kids learn to put their noses in the water from someone other than me. By the time I get them, we're just practicing what they learned in lessons. My 7 year old took Stroke Development 3 and he loved it. He's swimming a full length of the pool freestyle!
And Family Fun Nights at the pools - they stay open until 8:00!
2. Campfire night at Bluff Lake. We finally made it to one of these nights, where the fireside chat was all about decomposers. There was no fire, out of respect to the fires burning down south, so we were a little disappointed to miss out on s'mores, but it's just an incentive to come back next time!
3. Peas from my garden.
4. And finally, our favorite discovery of the summer: Green Valley Ranch Golf Club and the First Tee program. $70, 9 weeks, and our boy is in golf lessons every Thursday. He loves them! Plus, they teach core values like respect - shaking hands when you meet, and being a good sport.
And for mom and dad? Green Valley Ranch offers women's clinics, family lessons or individual lessons. Did you know pro golfer and Stapleton resident Kane Webber played for CU and went pro and played Tours in Asia and Europe and a lesson with him is an unbelievably great deal? And he's a super nice guy?
