What: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is hosting a noncompetitive 5K walk in City Park the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

When: Saturday, November 17th, 2012, 10:00 am

Who: It’s a 5K noncompetitive, family focused event. The event was started by Moms and this year’s walk in Denver is the first ever. We hope to have many moms come out and support St. Jude by walking.

Why: St. Jude is like an insurance policy for kids diagnosed with the most catastrophic diseases in the world. The hospital provides free care and treatment (including travel, food, housing, and everything in between) for kids diagnosed with cancer and other deadly diseases. This helps families focus only on their sick child and not on paying the bills. When there’s nowhere else to go, St. Jude is there.
