Are you wondering about the next Stapleton elementary school? The Northfield campus? How the Stapleton choice process works? Then join the Stapleton United Neighbors for the 2nd Annual Stapleton Education Expo. The first half of the evening will be an informational meeting for the community about the DPS choice process, the next Stapleton elementary schools, the Northfield campus plans, and how 3A/3B can help us fund our schools. The second half of the evening will feature tables from 27 preschools through high schools in NE Denver. The Expo is from 6:30-8:30pm at SMIS on Thursday, October 4th. If you were at this event, you heard that a fourth DPS K-8 school is planned for fall 2014 in the Bluff Lake neighborhood. Forest City's official response (10/4) is this: "Forest City is in on-going discussions with DPS about their future school needs based on their demographic projections. No decision about another school south of I70 has been made at this time."
