If possible, position your breakfast table close to a window or within a bay window. This location will refresh your space with plenty of natural light and will allow you to benefit from beautiful morning sunshine.
Windows are also great for opening up a small space and ensuring that your nook feels cozy, not cramped.
Plush seating
The idea here is comfort, so choose seating options that are plush and inviting. Upholstered banquette seating is an ideal option for larger spaces. Plush chair cushions and eclectically grouped chairs are great ideas for small tables.
Don’t be afraid to stray from the traditional and incorporate armchairs, stools, benches, or even ottomans.
Upholstery
An abundance of upholstery will give your space a cozy and comfortable feel. Choose a fabric with cheerful colors and patterns, and one that will be durable around food.
Consider using the same fabric for curtains, table cloths, cushions, and pillows.
