Handmade, one of a kind, unique artisan gifts are at the top of my list this year. With my pledge to shop local this year, I am proud to say we did all of our shopping at local, small businesses.

Here are a few of my favorites - gifts I received AND gifts I'm giving!

We had a great family photo session with photographer Kelsey Bigelow.  She specializes in capturing your family in everyday, candid life. Look at these awesome photo books! They come in this great fabric cover. Love it!

I love these adorable personalized notecards I got from Love Notes! Alison makes custom, personalized stationary, notepads, invitations and more!

For the new mom, here's the perfect gift: a onesie with baby's horoscope from ScopeMeBaby.com! Made by first-time parents in Summit County, Colorado, this is a gift sure to make you smile. You can pick up all 12 astrological signs at Naturally Loved in Stapleton's Town Center.

Check out this handmade, cute bird ornament found at Spruce Boutique on old South Gaylord, in Wash Park. Everything in there looks like it's one of a kind, from the holiday party blouse I got to the unique gifts to the funky jewelry. (And they might have a fantastic Plum District deal coming soon, but you didn't hear it from me.)

The perfect gift for neighbors, friends, family and well.... everybody. Yes, it's chocolate. This fudge from Sweet Nothings Chocolate Company, a/k/a The BonBon Buggy, is out of this world. Satisfy your sweet tooth at Amore Fiori and Blue Creek in Stapleton, or at Frills Cake Shop in the Santa Fe Arts District.

I saved the best for last. I received it from a dear friend. You can't buy this gift. It must be made with time and love, and hung with care, for it's meant to remind your family that they are loved. Thank you!
