Thank you, Starz Film Festival, for an amazingly fun night out at the premiere of the movie "The Descendants." great seats!


We had pre-show food and drinks at Euclid Hall. Interesting menu. It's got the feeling of a German beer hall - from the long communal tables to the sausage, schnitzel and spatzle on the menu. We ordered cocktails but should have stuck with beer - they have a huge selection.



The movie was great. From the director of Sideways and starring George Clooney, it was in the "shit happens" genre. When Clooney's character calls himself the backup parent who had no idea what to do with his daughters, I knew I was going to like it.

There are still many great films to be seen at the festival. So get a sitter and plan a date night, or just pick a mid-day film to catch while the kids are at school.
