The Sugar Plum Bazaar: handmade artisan goods

Tuesday, November 1, 2011 Leave a Comment

In a world where most everything is a click and ship away from your laptop, we truly embrace events and markets like Sugar Plum, where the enjoyment comes from the hunt to find that special treasure, that nobody else may find. The handmade, vintage-style, artisan-crafted goods that you will find at Sugar Plum are all from Colorado small companies, with the majority of items made in Colorado.

The first annual Sugar Plum Bazaar, scheduled for November 19 and 20 at the historic Parkside Mansion in Denver will feature over thirty vendors in a charming, festive setting and will be the premier shopping event for the Denver area. Boutique jewelry, clothing, gifts, re-purposed retro, vintage, unique finds and hand-made creations are the focus of Sugar Plum. Customers will enjoy seeing familiar faces, and hopefully some new artisans that they haven't come across before.

Partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities, holiday shoppers are encouraged to make a small donation upon entering the Sugar Plum. There is no entrance fee for this event. Sugar Plum Bazaar will also be a part of the KOSI 101 radiothon benefitting Ronald McDonald House on November 17th, as part of our commitment to a local charity. The Sugar Plum Bazaar managers, Alissa Bush of Twirl Girl, Jennifer Carabetta of Dizzie Izzie, and Mandy Yocum of Fern and Sprout hope to create a truly special event in Sugar Plum, which is why they selected the beautiful Parkside Mansion. Other treats such as live jazz piano from the legendary Danny Showers, yummy goodies to eat, and holiday decor for sale such as poinsettias.

Hours for the Sugar Plum Bazaar are from 11 to 5 on Saturday, November 19th, and 10 to 4 on Sunday, November 20th. The Parkside mansion is located at 1859 York Street. There is limited parking in our lot, yet you can park at LePeep after 2pm, and in and around the neighborhood as well.
