Mixing Wood Tones

Monday, August 1, 2011 Leave a Comment

As a designer I get this question a lot, is it OK to mix wood tones?  Who says all wood furniture in a room has to match? Mixing and matching different shades of wood is very popular right now. It's an easy way to bring an eclectic, funky, "traveled" feel to any room. Mixing different styles of furniture is one of the best ways to make your room unique, whether it be your living room, office, or bedroom. One suggestion: pale wood tones paired with ebony-stained wood makes for a stark and beautiful contrast, adding visual interest to the space. Take a look at some of the photos below for ideas!
