Win a Boppy pillow - a must have for new moms

One of the things no one tells you about being a first-time mom is how difficult breast-feeding can be. It seems like the most natural thing in the world, but getting your baby to latch on without causing excruciating pain can be, well, challenging. And once you've contorted your arm, the baby's head, your supporting arm and propped up a dozen pillows around, you've got to hold that position for twenty minutes or so, each side... you could spend half your day breast-feeding.

I would not have survived breast-feeding without my Boppy.

If you're a first-time mom, this should be number one on your list of must-have's.

And the good folks at Boppy -- which is based right here in Golden, Colorado -- are celebrating the new year's babies by giving away a Boppy pillow with slip cover to one of you moms-to-be.... all you have to do is leave a comment here telling us why you want a Boppy... and we'll choose a winner in some unscientific and random fashion on New Year's Day. Send your pregnant friends over!

Here's some tips from Boppy:

This pillow not only lifts babies to a more ergonomic position for comfortable feedings, it also transitions to support them as they grow, offering the perfect spot for exercising, sitting, relaxing or just discovering little fingers and toes. And, don’t forget having at least two slipcovers guarantees that your pillow is never out of commission or (gasp) naked.

Nursing and Bottle Feeding
This is your moment to just sit and enjoy being with baby. Might as well get comfortable.

Lounging
Crawling? It’ll come. But for now, baby is content to lounge after feedings. May help reduce reflux too.

Tummy Time
See tat kicking and head lifting? It’s quite a workout getting all those muscles for rolling and sitting. Go baby go.

Sitting
Topples happen. So while baby works out the wobbles, the Boppy Pillow is there for balance and support.

I have a new baby and would love a Boppy. My upper back and shoulders are constantly sore from holding up my baby on my lap when I nurse, and it looks like the Boppy could make me (and my baby) much more comfortable. Thank you!

I would love another boppy - one for upstairs and one for downstairs. I hate nursing without it. My baby does so much better when she is in a better position!

I'm expecting twins in April! So we need TWO of everything! Some twin parents even recommend getting four boppys! Getting one boppy here would be a huge help!
