My Top 5 Favorite Things at the Farmer's Market
1. Lillabee's allergy friendly baking mixes. Mmmmmmm....brownies. I really miss brownies since I've gone gluten and dairy free. But not anymore -- these gluten and dairy free brownies are delicious! Even I can make them, and baking is not my strong point. The founder of Lillabee is a pastry chef who became intolerant to gluten and dairy. Imagine that! So she spent a couple of years perfecting mixes that have the taste and texture of the real thing. Thanks, Lillabee! Brownies, cake mix, and pancake mix. Going to try the pancakes this week.
2. Blue Horseshoe grass-fed-and-finished beef is now at the Farmer's Market! It's no secret that I'm a fan of this grass-fed, non-factory, hormone and antibiotic free, healthier for me and my kids beef that's raised in Grand County. You will be, too when you try it.
3. Yume Asian sauces. Basil green curry sauce, coconut sauce, peanut sauce... yum! Most of these Thai and Vietnamese sauces are gluten, dairy and soy free. And they're delicious. Developed by Chef Yume, owner of Indochine restaurant in Parker.
4. Palisade Peaches. We love them. I had them grilled with pork leg at Frasca last night. Mouth-watering. And next week, they'll have pears. These are the best pears I've ever had in my life.
5. Denver Biscuit Company. Everybody lines up for the Biscuit Truck. Before I found out I couldn't eat wheat, I tried their biscuits. With fried chicken. And gravy. I am drooling just thinking of it. Hey, Lillabee, maybe you two can get together? And if you like them, you'll love Fat Sully's Pizza. Same owners, starting up a pizza truck in a week or so. And they do serve a good gluten-free pizza pie, too.
Hi! This is Yume of Asian Meals In Minutes sauces. Thank you so much for purchasing our sauces and loving them! Support from Moms like you (with exquisite taste, I might add); mean the world to our company and to me personally. I will be on local Channel 2 at 8:35am on 8/31 to do some Asian burgers using Essential cooking sauce. I hope you will have time to watch! Thank you again!
And where will these guys be during the fall, winter and spring?
