How long does it take a 4-year old to figure out the iPad?

At the Aspen Ideas Festival, Jeffrey Katzenberg, the CEO of DreamWorks animation, made the pronouncement that technology is innate, relating how he put two 4-year olds in a room with an iPad and a few apps, and they figured it out in 10 minutes.

This is a revelation? All they had to do was ask any mother of a 4-year old, and she could tell you that if you put a 4-year old in a room with an iPad and a few apps, it would take him 27 seconds or less to figure it out.

Ask my sister. My son got hold of hers. He figured out my iPhone, my iPod Touch, my digital camera, the DVD players and iTunes. The only thing that still eludes him is the universal remote for our HD TV setup.
