Summer activities for toddlers
When your kids are under the age of 4 and too young for summer camps, it can be hard to find summertime activities for them.
Luckily, there are some good options for toddlers and 2-3 year olds:
- Stapleton All Sports Early Ball Skills, Sunday mornings 9-10:15 am at F-15 Park, June 20- August 29. At that age, it's more about social interaction and participation and following simple instructions than actually throwing/kicking/catching a ball, or playing a game. It's really about building their confidence. My boy did this and loved it.
He's moved up to thee 4-year olds now and still loves it -- he came from from Field Day today with a fistful of ribbons, a nonstop grin, and was asleep on the couch by 7:30.
This program will provide a chance for 2½ to 3 year olds to begin developing their skills, and at the same time play with other kids. We will focus on throwing, kicking, running, and other very basic movements for kids in this age group. Parents will be required to stay with their child during the practice. The session will be $100 for ten weeks and will be from 9:15 to 10AM at F-15 Park.
- Tales'N Tunes with Miss Tonya. Singing, dancing, instruments, books... what more does a kid need? And everybody loves Miss Tonya. Summer session starts July 5.
What do you do with your 2-3 year olds during summer? Does anybody do Vacation Bible School anymore? I loved that when I was a kid...
