I'm so excited to introduce two folks to you all: Maria Lucas, who is an occasional contributor to Stapleton Moms and is going to be profiling Stapleton business owners, movers, shakers, mavens and cool women in "That Stapleton Mom." Think Vanity Fair's Proust Questionnaire, only much more practical. She's a former producer for CNN and ABC, moved to Denver from Atlanta and is raising two amazing girls.

For the inaugural post, she's profiling Rachel Baumel, the owner of Baby Power in Quebec Square, a practicing lawyer, and mom. So without further adieu...

That Stapleton Mom: Rachel Baumel

As the owner of Baby Power, this attorney, turned mother, turned entrepreneur saw a need for a child-related business in Stapleton and ran with it. Five years later, Baby Power is growing up, saying goodbye to Mom Mornings Out and starting its very own Preschool.

Favorite Stapleton Park: Central Park is my favorite Stapleton park because there is so much to do and my kids love to run around and play on all of the equipment

My Favorite "Mommy" outfit: Yoga pants and a t-shirt:)

My go to dinner: Our favorite family restaurant is Vine Street Pub on 17th and Vine. The food is great and the kids eat free every day(except Friday) before 6pm. We are early birds!

My proudest Mommy moment: There are too many to name one! I am most proud when I see my girls being good to others. That is when I feel like I am doing something right!

Favorite TV show: Grey's Anatomy

Favorite Movie Line: That is my husband's department - Currently, my favorite line is from the P90X workout videos - When Tony Horton is talking about Plyometrics and he says "this workout puts the X in P90X." He also makes an X with his arms at the same time! So cheesy, yet so much fun!!!

The next house project: I am happy to say that we do not have one!!! Once we have the funding - we may add some built-ins to our house.

The one thing I do for myself every single day: I wish:) If there was one thing I would do for myself every day it would be to read. I love reading!

Best morning activity with the kids: In the summer, we like to walk to Einsteins for bagels in the morning. That is so much fun for the family.
