Learning to meditate
Corepower Yoga is starting a series of meditation classes. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to get my uber-tense body to relax. Since my conscious mind, acupuncturist, chiropractor, yoga practice and wine have varying degrees of success, I'm adding meditation to the mix.
The classes are taught by Ruth Ann, who studied under Deepak Chopra, and who also teaches the bikram-style class on Saturday mornings. Each week, she'll cover one of the 7 Chkras, or energy centers that line up along your spine. This week, she starts with the Root Chakra, which is all about finding your path in life.
The class is on Saturdays, and if you can't make it then, it repeats on Sunday.
When: Saturday and Sunday mornings, starting this Saturday, January 9
Time: 9:05 to 9:35 (right after the hot/bikram yoga class)
