Attention, moms of 2 year olds

It is never too early to start thinking about preschool for your baby.

In fact, now is the time to start going to open houses and getting on waitlists and filling out applications if your baby will be 3 next fall. If you're anything like me, looking at my 2 year old who is still my baby, it's something you'd rather just ignore and hope it'll go away, but sorry, if you ignore it you'll just be out of luck and your kid will be dreadfully behind and it will be all your fault.

And one more thing: you'll have to have your baby potty-trained by then.

For those of us who moved to Stapleton with the wild hope that the public schools would rock, the open houses for Bill Roberts and Westerly Creek are coming up:

WCE students: Tuesday, November 18 at 9:15 am
Bill Roberts students: Thursday, November 20th @ 6:30 pm

How do I know which school? I don't know. I plan to ask at the open house. We have neighbors whose kids go to both. It's a mystery to me.

Oh, and it's now called "ECE." "Preschool" is so 1980.
