29th Street Town Center "Open House"

This Friday and Saturday (November 16 & 17) is the 29th Street Town Center "Open House" to get us all to visit the local businesses and do some holiday shopping.

Did you know that there's an Art Framing shop? I didn't. (Framed sports memorabilia make a perfect gift for the guy who has everything...)

And have you been to Udi's yet? The sign makes it look like a bread shop, but they have fabulous food for breakfast and lunch. Skip the crowds at the bagel shop and check out Udi's. They are a local Denver business, and rumor has it they live in Stapleton.

And closest to my heart, please check out Simon Says Read, the children's bookstore. This is a local business, and independent bookstores everywhere need our support. Colorado is great at supporting local bookstores. I run in there for every neighborhood kid birthday party and grab a unique book as a gift. AND they are now carrying the SAFE, lead-free, wooden Melissa & Doug toys.

Did you know there's a UShampooch? I didn't. Even though it still feels like Indian Summer in the middle of November, the day is soon coming when I can no longer bathe the black lab in the yard. Good to know there's something other than PetSmart's beauty parlor (Maggie hates that...)

Go support our town center, everyone. I live near the new "Eastbridge" (formerly Havana) town center, currently a bunch of straw and dirt, and we want businesses to come here, too!
